I realized I was officially grown-up when it hit me one day that throw pillows and gallery wall frames got me more excited than a new pair of shoes. As much as I love a good trip to HomeGoods or Target, I try to be mindful of our wallet. So I've taken on several DIY projects as well as gotten creative using unexpected items as decor accessories (an antique sea trunk as a coffee table) and used sentimental items to make memories into unique, one-of-a-kind works of art.
